So, over the weekend, the future in-laws came up to L.A. for a visit, which prompted the predictable last minute round of frantic cleaning up. We're somewhat in the same mode around here today, having received a very nice email from the gang at Jewcy, advising us that we're going to find out if we can take it as well as we dish it out.
Jewcy, an online magazine that Gawker calls "the Jewish Slate," has an editorial board that includes the likes of New Yorker's Jeffrey Goldberg, Esquire's A.J. Jacobs, and Harper's' Jeffrey Sharlet. FOTEV Tod Goldberg is also a contributor. (Don't ask about the source of his expertise on adult circumcision. He has wallet photos.)
Apparently, their blog Daily Shvitz periodically undertakes a bit of blog reviewing under the auspices of its Movable Snipe feature. Be sure to follow all the hot Jew-on-Jew action this week as the spotlight is on us. Michael Helke, the book editor of Stop Smiling magazine, and Fiona Maazel, formerly the managing editor of the Paris Review, will be offering their blow-by-blow impressions of the blather we serve up around here.
Oy.
