We're contemplating using the categories feature offered by Typepad, and sorting things along the lines of Interviews, Reviews, News, etc. Is this remotely necessary and will anyone at all find it useful? Please drop us a line and let us know.

In his recent TEV guest review of Home Land, Jim Ruland called Sam Lipsyte the "funniest writer of his generation," and we're quite inclined to agree. We tore through Home Land in two joyful sittings and can't remember the last time we've laughed so hard. Lipsyte's constellation of oddly sympathetic losers is rendered with a sparkling, inspired prose style that's sent us off in search of all his prior work. In Lewis Miner's (a.k.a Teabag) woeful epistolary dispatches to his high school alumni newsletter ("I did not pan out."), we find an anti-hero for the age. Highly, highly recommended.
I, personally, like categories. Anything to keep even a small grip on reality. I'm going to use them on my new site.

I don't even notice them on other sites. I usually just read through everything anyway.

I would like to think that my categories serve some function (I thought the headers were catchy: "News, Views, Reviews, and Interviews" see they all end in "ews." cool huh?).
At least it offers your readers to skip right to the reviews and interviews if they would like.
