We've got holiday fever upon us, and about 25 pages left to wrap up in this draft, which we can then turn in and start something new. So we're going to take a breather today and focus on the rewrite. We also plan to stay shuttered Memorial Day and spend some quality time with Dr. Wife and a variety of single malt scotches.
In the meantime, two items on note. Next week, TEV will be reporting to you live from BookExpo. And we'll be participating in a panel discussion about the emerging role of blogs with luminaries ranging from Michael Cader to Jessa Crispin. Watch for Dateline: Chicago. (We hope to fully transcribe and post our Q&A with Swink Magazine founder Leelila Strogov before we leave town.)
Second item is that our pal the Rake is feeling neglected and unloved, and he really does mount some rather fine work at Rake's Progress, so stop by, say hey, and make him feel like part of the club.
Oh, and ARC has threatened to provide a report from last night's Steve Almond reading at Skylight but we're not holding our breath ...
I'm not so proud that I won't accept a pity fuck.

Chicago? Lucky bastard. Some of us have to well, you know, work and stuff. Do the 'sphere proud, will ya? (and who else is on the panel?)
