Pasadena is getting into the "let's all read the same book" game, and has announced the nominated titles for its One City, One Story project. And the nominees are:
"Caramelo' by Sandra Cisneros.
"Easter Island' by Jennifer Vanderbes.
"Jamesland' by Michelle Huneven.
"The Kite Runner' by Khaled Hosseini.
"The Namesake' by Jhumpa Lahiri.
"The Time Traveler's Wife' by Audrey Niffenger.
The winner will be announced in November.
Those wild and crazy cats at the Pasadena Library have also been keeping themselves busy celebrating Isherwood.
Dearest Mark,
As a Pasadenean, born and bred, it behooves me to point out that the crazy cats celebrating Isherwood are at the Huntington Library...
