We've been struck down by a rather vicious bug, and having spent the better part of yesterday in bed, we're still not quite firing on all cylinders. So today's posts are likely to be a bit spottier (and grumpier) than usual. But chicken soup is flowing and we predict better times ahead.
Then again, news like this, courtesy of Publishers Marketplace, does little to improve our outlook:
FICTION: DEBUT
Senator Barbara Boxer with Mary-Rose Hayes's untitled novel, an up-close view of how politics and power are shaped by personal friendships and revenge, to Jay Schaefer at Chronicle, by Frederick Hill at Frederick Hill Bonnie Nadell Agency (world).
On behalf of California, we apologize in advance.
