Literary news appears to be slowing to a trickle around here - unless you're interested in the umpty-umpth wire story of Tom Wolfe's Bad Sex Award. (Heaven knows we never tire of ridiculing The Ponce in the White Suit but we don't assume your appetite for same is as limitless.) So we do suspect postings might be a bit lighter than the OCD norm as we ease into the holidays. But remember, as we've told numerous women in our past, it's not about the quantity, it's ... well, you know the rest.
At any rate, we promise to take advantage of the seasonal slowdown by addressing the horror that is our email inbox. If you've written in and have heard nothing back, please assume nothing more than our own incompetence at managing our correspondence. We intend to personally reply to every last piece of mail we receive, right down to those viagra ads, Nigerian millionaires and especially all those lonely housewives. So please bear with us, we're on the case.
Now to the day's literary offerings.
Uh speaking of spam, I've been getting a lot lately from Alice Walker, could she be the heir to Ignatius?
