JK Rowling has won an order transferring a pair of domains registered by a known "typosquatter" to her ownership.
Typosquatting is when someone registers an Internet domain that is a misspelling of a famous brand or name. Rowling had complained to the World Intellectual Property Organisation earlier this year when she discovered the registration of the two domains.
Apparently, the culprit has a long history of this sort of behavior. Back in 2000, Jeanette Winterson was one of the pioneers of this sort of fight.
