Come look for us at Dutton's Beverly Hills on Wednesday night as we check out the unveiling of Black Clock # 2.
Black Clock, the nationally distributed literary magazine published by
CalArts and edited by novelist Steve Erickson (Our Ecstatic Days), will
publicly present its second issue on Wednesday, February 2, with a
reading at Dutton's Beverly Hills Books.
Issues #2 and 3 contributors Miranda July, Rachel Resnick, and David L.
Ulin will read their work and sign copies of the magazine. Though not
explicitly thematic, the works in Black Clock #2 deal with what Erickson
has called "the lost music of the imagination."
In addition to July, Resnick and Ulin, contributors to issues #2 and 3
include Bruce Bauman, Maureen Howard, Shelley Jackson, Heidi Julavits,
Jonathan Lethem, Ben Marcus, Greil Marcus, Joseph McElroy, Rick Moody,
Geoff Nicholson, Richard Powers, Joanna Scott, Lewis Shiner, Darcey
Steinke, Michael Ventura and William T. Vollmann.

I am so jealous that this event is happening in LA and not NYC!
