Well, we made it, have arrived at the Javits Center in one piece. We've checked in, gotten our ID and directory (the size of a small phone book) and we're getting ready to check out this year's Book Blog panel. (Attentive TEV readers will remember we participated in last year's panel, where we had to spend a good deal of time explaining just what a blog was ... One hopes this year's proceedings will be further along.)
We must take a moment to take special note of HarperCollins, who have provided the free wi-fi connection that we're using to post this. A very nice gesture, indeed.
At any rate, we share a few images with you all as BEA gets underway. We've got rendezvous with Ed and Laila within the hour, and more reports are sure to follow, especially tomorrow when the main floor opens. Until then ...
The line for Starbucks is even longer than the regstration line ...
