Seattle-based Clear Cut Press is inspired by early 20th-century subscription presses Hours Press and Contact Editions and mid-century paperbacks of New Directions and City Lights. MATTHEW STADLER is the celebrated author of the novels Landscape: Memory, The Sex Offender , and Allan Stein . He is a contributor to Frieze Magazine, Arcade, New York Times, and The Stranger , is literary editor of Nest, and is editor and co-founder of Clear Cut. STACEY LEVINE is author of two previous works of fiction , Dra--- (Sun & Moon) and My Horse & Other Stories (Sun & Moon), winner of the Pen/West Award in Fiction. Her latest is Frances Johnson . MATT BRIGGS is author of three collections of short stories including The Remains of River Names (Black Heron), and Misplaced Alice and The Moss Gatherers (both StringTown).
Clear Cut Press is always great. And my childhood best buddy's new novel, Sprawl will be published by Clear Cut. Look out for Danielle Dutton--she's great!:)

I have seen all these writers read. I have also read some of their work. Strange things happen when they appear.
