The improvised poetry site Quickmuse has recently garnered attention ranging from The Guardian to the Boston Globe. The idea behind the site is to have two respected poets duke it out mano a mano, writing improvised poems in a 15-minute time window. You can see past examples of their efforts here.
Well, now Quickmuse has set its sights on fiction. On September 5th at 6:30 p.m. (PST), David Leavitt and Rick Moody will let the world snoop on their writing process. Tune in and check it out. We'll be there, pulling for Leavitt. (Nothing against Moody, but we think Leavitt is marvelously talented, truly underrated. Despite the controversy surrounding While England Sleeps, we found it a bracing read and have been reading him ever since.)
