I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm blogging for Mark today. It's 9a.m. in San Francisco and I thought I would be at this earlier than I am. But it's cold here, and my bicycle is in the shop, and the coffee is just starting to hit aided along by Stevie Wonder crooning All Day Sucker.
If you don't already know me I'm the author of six books, three of them pretty good. I write mostly about sex and politics, though I'm not writing much about sex currently. I'm also a member of the Writers Grotto in San Francisco. The Writers Grotto is really just a bunch of writers renting offices on the same floor of a building in downtown San Francisco.
I hope you like my blogging today. If you have any questions in the comments I'll do my best to answer them.
I've never heard of you but that is my fault. Have you been hired to keep the blog going?

I forgot: the usage of the word Grotto is interesting. It might come from the Italian word "grotta" which means "cave". The strange fact is that "grotto" is not currently used in the Italian spoken in Italy, only by the small minority of Italian-speaking Swiss - about 300'000 people. They use it to indicate a country restaurant.
