The Washington Post is reporting that Philip Roth's Everyman will be awarded the PEN/Faulkner prize today, making him the first writer to win the prize three times.
"I'm delighted," he said in a telephone interview. The PEN/Faulkner is a gratifying award, he said, because over the years "there just seems to be a consistency to the quality of the winners."
As in it's consistently him?
