Updated ten to fifteen times a day, The Rumpus provides original reviews of books, music, and film, interviews with people like Malcolm Gladwell, The Twisted Monk, Bill Ayers, Bucky Sinister, Al Franken, and Michael Showalter, as well as original essays by Robin Romm, Michelle Tea, and others, and blogs by Rick Moody, Kaui Hart Hemmings, Bitchy Jones, Ryan Boudinot, and Jerry Stahl.
Anyway, the party will be held Saturday, April 18, 8pm at The Steve Allen Theater, 4773 Hollywood Blvd and will feature Aimee Bender (The Girl In The Flammable Skirt) Jerry Stahl (Permanent Midnight and Painkillers) Janet Fitch (White Oleander and Paint it Black) Zak Smith (Pictures Showing What Happens on Each Page of Thomas Pynchon's Novel Gravity's Rainbow) Comedians Ian Harvey and Kyle Kinane This American Life's Josh Bearman, and air guitar champion Dan Crane and music by Terra Naomi Hosted by author and editor of The Rumpus Stephen Elliott.
